Memory Infrastructure Engineer
Work on QIA's core retrieval and compression pipeline — specifically the graph traversal layer, context decay algorithms, and SDK interfaces exposed to PayQIA developers. TypeScript/Python primary. Experience with vector databases or knowledge graph systems preferred.
Applied Research Scientist — Memory Systems
Work directly on the research directions published at /research: context compression efficiency, knowledge graph entity resolution, memory decay modelling, and memory-system safety (privacy-preserving retrieval, tenant isolation). Expected to publish findings internally and contribute to public research notes.
What working here looks like
Small team, direct scope.
You will work directly on QIA or PayQIA — not on an internal tool that abstracts you from the core product. The team is small enough that your work ships within weeks, not quarters.
Research and product are the same function.
There is no wall between the Systems Lab and the product team. If you're working on context compression research, you're also working on what gets shipped in PayQIA's retrieval layer.
Honesty is an engineering standard, not a marketing choice.
We label our benchmarks as unverified until they are independently validated. We removed products from our website when they weren't real. This extends to how we work internally — no metric inflation, no implied scale.
